  • Columbus Public Health has a list of food pantries/soup kitchens in Franklin County. It’s dated 2024 and it’s the latest version I could locate. food-pantry-2024-resource-list.pdf

  • In response to the government shutdown, DoorDash has launched an Emergency Food Response to assist SNAP recipients. This initiative includes:
    • Free delivery for SNAP recipients through DoorDash's Project DASH program.
    • Waiving delivery and service fees for approximately 300,000 orders for SNAP recipients.
  • Visit www.lssfoodpantries.org to place a full order and make an appointment for a pick-up date and time, or, simply walk-up by visiting the pantry during business hours. To place a full order or for more assistance, please call our help desk at 877-LSS-MEAL weekdays from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m.

  • Bexley Freedge (Free Fridge)- The Freedge (free + fridge) offers a free community refrigerator and freezer to reduce food waste and help neighbors in need. It is outdoors and open to the public so anyone can take what they need, no questions asked.   • Heart to Heart is an open-choice drive-thru food pantry in the Grandview area open on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am to 12pm. We are currently operating as a drive-thru in the First Community Church parking lot. (Clients make walk/bike up if needed.) Clients should enter the church parking lot through the driveway on First Ave. First come; first served. No appointments. There are no Zip Code restrictions. Heart to Heart limits client visits to once every 30 days.

If you live in the Westerville City School District and meet eligibility requirements, we can get you signed up to order your groceries with us.   • Salvation Army- We operate six neighborhood food pantries across Central Ohio. A typical visit provides three to five days of balanced groceries, free of charge. Choice-based selection of nonperishables, with a focus on grains, canned vegetables/fruits, proteins, and pasta. Franklin County residents: please call 614-341-2282. Walk-in appointments may be available for emergencies if resources allow.
    • Senior Food Boxes (Franklin County)-Seniors 60+ who meet income guidelines at or below 130% of the Federal Poverty Level and live in Franklin County may receive a monthly food box. Call 614-437-2134 for information.
    • Free Hot Lunch Program (Hilltop)- All are welcome Wednesdays and Fridays, 11 a.m.–12:30 p.m., for a free hot meal at 2300 West Mound Street in Columbus’s Hilltop neighborhood.

  • Neighborhood Service Inc. Food Pantry Hours: Sunday: 1 PM – 3 PM, Monday-Thursday: 10 AM – 1 PM. In-person appointment slots are available to book one hour before the pantry opens.
